I am the author of Big Phil's KId. I am not dead, yet, or at least not as of 03/30/11. The book is not out of copyright. The first edition hardcover was published by Meredith Press in 1969; republished in hardcover by Hawthorne Books in 1971; published in hardcover by Mondadori [Il Figlio De Grande Phil]; published in paperback through subsequent editions by Pocketbooks; Crown; Avon; & Athis Crain.
