Biographical sketch of the enigmatic New York writer Jane Bowles (1917-1973). Through interviews with people who surrounded her and with the composer and writer Paul Bowles, to whom she was married from 1938, as well as the letters and notebooks of the writer, a vision of the work and life of Jane Bowles is given. It includes a chronology and a small bibliography of her published works and her literary work.
