History of British aviation, 1908-1914

Still ranks as probably the best book on the history of British aviation during the period mentioned. Each year is dealt with in sequence and Appendices include a list of Aviators' Certificates isued by the R.Ae.C and a list of British subjects who qualified for Aviators' Certificates in both France and in the USA. Lavishly illustrated with 16 diagrams and 64 photographs. Not an easy book to obtain nowadays.
