As concern for the environment has grown, so has a whole new academic discipline, embracing such preciously disparate areas as ecology, chemistry, economics, engineering, biochemistry, politics and sociology. This dictionary, which is now in its second edition including additional and expanded entries, provides both the student and the general reader with a working knowledge of the scientific and technical terminology associated with environment studies and appraisals of current issues.
