A history of the Gurney family, a prominent Quaker family that resided in Norwich, Norfolk County, England. One family member, Joseph John Gurney was a Quaker minister and an early supporter of Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana (the college was named in honor of Earlham Hall, the Gurney family home in Norwich, Norfolk County, England).
